Getting a FamilySearch.org Account

dimidium facti qui coepit habet

"He who has begun, is half done."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a free website where you can put all of your ancestors' names on a family tree.

https://familysearch.org/

This is also a great way to collaborate with others with whom you share your genealogy.  You do NOT need to be a member of the LDS church to register, just a valid email address.

This service is free for everyone.

This website has no ads and the information you provide will not be sold to anyone.

Leland Moon has created a short video showing you how to create an account.
For more of Leland Moon's videos click here.

To get your free account on familysearch.org click here.

If you are a member of the LDS Church click here to register.

Congratulations!  You are now on your way to begin your search for your own family's stories.

  1. Hi, Thought you might enjoy checking this out. I spent a few days in February at the convention center in Salt Lake City they were hosting the largest genealogy conference in the world. I learned some really fun and interesting ways to find out about my ancestors. Let me know what you think.
